Hi everyone, and welcome to Sydney Wedding Blogger!!!

Hi everyone!
First and foremost, I'd like to say thankyou for taking the time out to read this. I've wanted to start a blog like this for years. It wasn't until as of late, that I had someone very dear to me, push me enough to finally start.
Weddings are my passion. I have a ridiculous obsession with them, and everyone around me knows just how much of a big part they play within my life.

It started about 10 years ago. Fashion tv was on, and I remember the Lebanese designer, Abed Mahfouz, having his collection grace the catwalk. I was in awe.
I began to research his collection online, and began to come across fellow Arab designers such as Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad. I remember right clicking and saving every photo that took my breath away. Soon enough I was researching all things dresses. My online folder was filling up quicker and quicker and I would dream of the day that I would eventually be able to wear one of those gowns.

I then began to research engagement rings discovering Tacori, Harry Winston, and Tiffany, to name a few, and then before I knew it, that folder was filled with boquet designs, bridal hairstyles, bridesmaid and groomsmen outfits, reception settings, music, invitations, photo inspirations, wedding food,
Wedding shoes; wedding EVERYTHING. My obsession had become ridiculous.

10 years on, you can probably imagine the collection I now have online of everything and anything to do with weddings.
I even collected bridal magazines that weighed 5 kilos on their own as I traveled through the Middle East.
The designs that come out of that place have a special place in my heart, because that's where it all started. The designers that captured my heart, all originated from there so understandably, I have a special place in my heart for designs from there. Just imagine how I felt when I drove past Zuhair Murads office in Beirut, Lebanon. Pure bliss.

As I've researched diverse designers, wedding planners and receptions from all over the world, I noticed that Australia, my homeland, doesn't have much to offer on the scale that the rest of the world offers. This for me, is frustrating as I have so many ideas for when it is my special day. With that in mind, I want to make a difference to the bridal industry here.
I have realized that my dream, my passion, is weddings. And therefore, I want to be a wedding planner. And I want to open up my own wedding reception. I want to give the brides of Australia, perfection. I have ideas, visions, and inspirations that this country has never seen. And I want to be able to show them and bring them that.

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at University, which I am just about to complete. Once that is done, I will be mastering in event management so I can look at this industry from a business and professional perspective and promise my future clients nothing less than everything they have ever dreamed.

In the meantime however, I want to use this blog to share my inspirations, thoughts and ideas and receive your feedback. Wedding dresses, bridal party ideas, invitations, photo inspirations, designers, food etc is what I wish to show you.

I come from a background of big families and extended friends. I attend and am part of a lot of weddings. The year of 2012 saw me attend 10 weddings, 2 of which I was bridesmaid, and countless engagement parties. 2013, a month in, and I've been a bridesmaid and attended 3 weddings. I get to experience the work of many designers, make up artists and hair stylists that are the best of the best within Australia. So I would love to use this blog also as a way to share with you my experience with them.

I hope you are patient with me and enjoy everything I post. I'd love to hear your thoughts, your suggestions and even your own dreams of your wedding day. I hope to inspire you, just as how I have been inspired by the beauty that the bridal industry has to offer.

I cannot wait, for the day,
That I eventually am able to start my own business, plan your wedding and have you slow dance in my reception. I can't wait to bring a whole new, fresh perspective to the wedding industry within Australia. Who knows, maybe even the world.

Thank you, and watch this space ❤
